1/12/2018 0 Comments January 2018Back to school after the holidays and multiple snow days! Here's what's going on this month!
Art - Students are working on individual projects -- 3D paper, sketches, characters for a graphic novel... Music - After a hiatus due to teacher illness, music students have resumed work on their individual goals. Academic - Grade 3 - Reading Club began this month. We'll be engaged in extension projects for their club book. The project hasn't yet been announced, but it will fe FUN! Grade 4 - Also began this month, with individual work. Grade 5 - Developing math extension -- designing and building a mini-mini golf hole. Grade 6 - Began our Space/Astronomy unit with generating questions the students wished to find answers to. Topics include human space exploration, the Big Bang Theory and some very interesting inquiries in theoretical astrophysics. Grade 7 - Presenting individual extra credit projects in social studies class this month. Each student has outlined and begun working on an individual or partner project of their own interest.
